Isaiah 43:19 - God is Doing a New Thing - Seasons Series
Share
Isaiah 43:19 is a powerful verse filled with hope and promise. It says, “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
God’s Promise of Renewal: This verse emphasizes that God is always at work, bringing about new beginnings and transformations.
Originally, this prophecy was given to the Israelites during their Babylonian exile. This assured them that God would bring them back from captivity just as he delivered their ancestors from Egypt.
For Christians today, this verse is often seen as a reminder of God’s continuous work in our lives. No matter how dire our situation seems God can bring opportunities and blessings. He brings hope to our valleys, wildernesses and desert seasons.
The “way in the wilderness” and “rivers in the desert” symbolize God’s provision and guidance. He can bring life and hope even when there seems to be none.
This verse can be a source of great encouragement, reminding us to trust in God’s plan and timing.
Lord, thank you that when we are in the valley you are the God of the mountain top. Thank you that you make a way in the wilderness and provide rivers in the desert. You are our hope, our savior, the Almighty Yeshua. Amen.
Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
